Peripheral Vascular Interventions Peripheral vascular medicine consultations, diagnostic peripheral angiography, and angioplasty and stenting are performed by Drs. Sola, Spriggs and Kudelko, II.
Non-Invasive Procedures These diagnostic tests include transthoracic and transesophogeal echocardiography and all forms of stress testing. A specialized diagnostic vascular laboratory is dedicated to the evaluation of cerebrovascular and peripheral vascular disease. These tests are performed by Drs. Electrophysiology Cardiac electrophysiologists are specialized cardiologists who treat abnormal heart rhythms called arrhythmias. Our electrophysiologists, Drs. Gallastegui and Hazlitt, perform electrophysiology studies, radiofrequency catheter ablations and surgically implant permanent pacemakers and Automatic Implantable Cardiac Defibrillator (AICD) devices. Pacemaker and AICD checks are done through the Pacemaker Clinics in Clearwater and Countryside.
If hospitalization is required, our office can make all the arrangements at Morton Plant Mease Hospitals and Largo Medical Center, and we will be glad to coordinate your admission with your primary care physician. |
Research Research has always been an important part of medicine. It is through research that medical breakthroughs and better treatment modalities are established. The physicians of Clearwater Cardiovascular and Interventional Consultants serve as Principal Investigators for several studies evaluating new ways of treating diseases of the heart and blood vessels. Our clinical research program allows us to make available promising new drug therapies and devices to our patients. Not only does involvement in these studies keep our staff abreast of the latest treatment, but research protocols often provide medication and services to our patients that are not yet available to the general population. We encourage our patients to consider entry into research protocol when appropriate. |
